Story

Story of Daeho

Our story began in 1957 when we opened our first restaurant, Kangnam, in Incheon, South Korea. Driven by our passion for food, we immigrated to the United States in 1990 and have since operated various Korean restaurants in San Francisco for over 30 years.

In February 2019, we launched our first Daeho Kalbijjim and Beef Soup in Japantown, the vibrant heart of San Francisco. The restaurant's overwhelming success led us to expand to a second location in Milpitas, CA, just a few months later in June 2019. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, our business continued to thrive, allowing us to open a third location inside the H Mart food court in San Francisco in May 2021.

In March 2022, we celebrated the opening of our fourth location in San Mateo, CA. Moreover, we finally expanded to a fifth location in another state, Las Vegas, NV, in May 2023. Furthermore, we expanded to Bellevue, WA, as our sixth location, in January 2024. Additionally, we are planning to open a new location soon in Concord, CA, and expand to Austin, TX, and Honolulu, HI. We are excited to continue our expansion, with plans to open more locations across California and other states throughout the United States.

Our Mission

Building on the success of Daeho Kalbijjim & Beef Soup, we are actively expanding to more locations in the greater Bay Area and across other states in the United States.

We are deeply grateful for the enthusiasm and support from communities who wish to have us in their regions, allowing us to share the finest Korean cuisine, culture, and experience. We sincerely appreciate our customers for their love and loyalty, and we are committed to giving back by reaching out to more areas and introducing our delicious food to an even wider audience.
